That’s totally up to you and your baby !
I breastfed my son till he was 5yrs old. In the end it was just a comfort feed before bed. We stopped when he wanted to stop. https://kellymom.com/ages/older-infant/ebf-benefits/
I breastfed for 6 months. I stopped as I started getting blocked milk ducts and one breast wasn’t producing as much milk. I expressed for a little bit then went into formula which my son easily adjusted to.
Just do what you can, seek professional advice if you need to, but never feel bad or uncomfortable with your decision.
It is totally up to you. I breastfed my first for 7 months as it just wasn’t working out for him. I’ve recently had my second and will just breastfed for as long as we both want to, I hope to get to 12 months
My sister breast fed for about 16 months. Mainly at bed time as Missy slept better at night then.
When her milk reduced she was able to give her one good feed every few days for about a month to boost her immune system more. She didn’t seem to catch as many “bugs” as all the other kids did at daycare.
