  • The last time we went with our whole family is over a year ago. One of our permanent foster kids behaviour is so disruptive and disturbing that we sadly decided not to take her out for dinner/lunch anymore.

  • Rarely last time I seen my sister was over 6 years ago and my both parents are no longer here with us.

  • Only with special occasions like birthdays, wedding anniversary or during a family holiday

  • We have a large family with small kids so honestly not often. When we do its generally breakfast as I find its cheaper ( kids usually have pancakes ) and also the younger kids aren’t as tired in the morning so there’s less chance of a melt down. The other thing we do is take lunch ( takeaway) to the park sometimes which generally works well too.

  • probably once in a blue moon lol. usually the only time we go out to eat is when its with family. when we get to the weekends were to busy in parks and spending time together

  • With food allergies find it hard to get out to places. Before the younger children were born it might had been every month or so. Now it means making sure the place is safe to eat at. Much easier to have a pre cooked meal and go our somewhere the beach, park or the hills.

  • I would say it’s lucky to be once every 4 or 5 months we just cook at home and maybe get a pizza once every 2 months or so just so much cheaper to make our own special meals or fun meals like mexican night or a lovely roast with duck fat potatoes

  • Less and less often these days. We go out on average once every two months.

  • We live rurally, when we head to the big city for appointments or visits whatever, that’s when we grab a light lunch and grab something on the way home for dinner. So maybe once a month. Not often and not that flash either

  • We go out once a week.

  • When my children were young we used to pack up a picnic. Sandwiches chicken legs cold cuts salads slaw fruit water cordial sometimes sausages bread eggs e.t.c for a BBQ. Take along a bat and ball, soccer ball, kites, games play tag and more. We never ate out at takeaways or restaurants. They are too expensive and we preferred our own food. Plus we had so much family fun. Even when I was divorced and didn’t have a car, I still took my children to the beach by bus and train with picnic food and hand lines for fishing. We went to the zoo and more taking our own food and drink. The children now adults still fondly remember these outings. I am sure they wouldn’t bother remembering the local hamburger dinner. Even a picnic in your backyard would be more fun. Love to all Lyn.

  • I’d love to go out for dinner fornightly but its more like once a year ,with two kids,we just dont have the energy to even leave the house

  • We try to have a meal out together every couple of weeks. However my kids are a bit older now. When they were younger would be lucky to go out for a meal once a month.

  • Usually once a week, mainly on friday or saturday nights.

  • Not often, but we do get fish and chips weekly.

  • With money so tight with me not working and paying rent, food and bills we dont go out anymore. But when I was working we tried to make it a special occasion once a week at a kid friendly resturant. That way they are entertained and I can relax.

  • Only for birthday’s or special occasions. I love to cook, luckily and we really can’t afford to eat out more often although I would love to.

  • We usually eat out once a week on a Friday night or over the weekend. Being a full time mum plus working part time, its nice that I get a night off and we get to sit back chatting with the kids and not worrying about cleaning up afterwards

  • Once a week on a Wednesday night, on the odd occasion might be a Sunday night too.

  • We very rarely go out for tea not because we can’t afford it bt I like to cook and love the atmosphere of sitting around the table having a meal with family. It gives everyone a chance to catch up and to feel comfortable eating at home.
