Stop using toxic shampoos and switch to natural products that are not harsh and strip your scalp skin. I am now using gentle solid shampoo and conditioner and my hair is so soft. Rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar to also make it more alkaline. And there are many herb teas you can use too.
I add a little tea tree or eucalyptus oil to my shampoo and conditioner (I started doing that to deter nits) and found my dandruff got a lot better. Head and shoulders only makes it worse though.
why not try using coconut oil instead of shampoo i heard that people use it. or sorbelene. if you have dandruff maybe you need to change your diet a little and have more fats and oils..
yeah all great advice. the hairdresser will have stuff to try and mainly an anti-dandruff shampoo of whatever line they are stocking so that you can use that at home
When I was younger my mum used to wash our hair with lemon juice. The acidity would lift the dry skin.
I was told by a hairdresser not to wash your hair with too hot water as this dries the scalp too much.
Hope that helps.
Lush’s “soak and float” shampoo bar worked wonders for me. They do online shopping, and it lasts for ages, so isn’t as expensive as you think at first glance.
