I used to have an expensive vacuum but they don’t last so I opted for a cheap version from Big W and it seems to last the distance. As long as it does its job I’m happy.

I have a Sauber, it’s fantastic, cleans amazingly and has HEPA filters so doesn’t spew out the bad stuff and sucks it right in. I love my Sauber

I am a cleaner for the elderly and i use a variety of vacuum cleaners in a week – I can highly recommend Dyson and Miele – don’t get an upright – they are too hard to manoeuvre into tight spaces you want to vacuum. Don’t get a stick vac unless you have alot of stairs or a very small place to clean – one of the dyson ones only lasts 26 minutes before having to be recharged. Make sure you get a bagless one so there is no extra cost in getting bags. One with a HEPA filter (or an asthma recommended one) is really good but make sure you clean the filters and bucket regularly. – make sure you also check out any review/comparison sites too – good luck and happy cleaning!

I got a Bosch bagless vacuum cleaner that is just as good as the Dyson that I previously had and was less expensive. I’ve also got a Roomba robot vacuum cleaner that I couldn’t live without; it is set to automatically clean every day.

We have a Dyson vacuum as well as a Dyson stick vac. Brilliant vacuums! My son recently bought one from KMart, can’t recall thebrand, but he says it’s pretty good for only $89

Depending on how big a house you’re vacuuming, the cordless Dyson Stick vacuum (V6 or V8 Absolute) is fantastic! It’s just so convenient to not have to plug it in.

We just walked into Costco and picked one from their (limited) range. You can spend too much time agonising over stuff lie this.

I bought an industrial back pack vacuum and love it! It’s a ghibli.

We got a ryobi shop vac from bunnings about 10 years ago for inder $100 and its been fantastic. Its wet dry so you can vac up spills and its so tough it can take anything!

funny my old dyson just blew up and i have just bought a new v-6 pethair stick vacum, which is a dyson and i love it light weight no cords a quick vacum before work it’s great

the oldermodel dysons are on sale now as they are last years models. great price and they work so well. 3 long hair cats and a dog here with the v6 ick and cinetic big ball for deep cleans

I would recommend a Volta. A good machine at a very good price.

Have been happy with a small cheap Volta. I managed to get a model that took a dust bag you could replace (had to search on ebay to get the reusable bag). Also like to make sure that the filters are regularly cleaned to stop the engine burning out, and never let the thing just ‘suck’ onto something, like a curtain or stray clothing on the floor, since that also trashes motors really quickly. So far the small, light cheapy has served me for almost 5 years.

Nope, sorry. I have a Dyson that I got for my birthday one and a half years ago, and I absolutely love it. I can’t even imagine my life before a cordless vacuum cleaner.
