Hello!

If any of you wonderful people on Mouths of Mums could please let me know what brand of deep fryer you use? I would like to know if you like it or if you would choose differently. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks so much!

  • why not try an a philips actifry or just your normal pot with oil and see how you like them we have both and they are both quite effective in our kitchen.

  • Thanks for posting this question – I really liked reading the answers as I’m thinking of buying one too

  • I can tell you which one not to get! The one sold in Coles. Have you heard the saying ‘cheap and nasty’ well that is so true for Coles deep fryer.

  • No one needs to buy a deep fryer. Think cholesterol. Use an air fryer or modify the way you cook. Deep frying is for fish and chip shops.

  • Have you considered an airfryer? Much less oil used!

  • We’ve been considering making this purchase ourselves glad to have come here and read the great responses, thanks for sharing.

  • I’m really glad to read all the responses. Such a great help.

  • Thanks for asking this question, as I am looking to buy one too. I will have to look at the air fryer. Thanks ladies for the recommendations.

  • $29 one from kart works a treat, I’ve used ours many times, emptied it, stored it and used it again.

  • I agree with the other Mums an air fryer seems to be a healthier choice.Does the air fryer do all the things as a deep fryer would though?

  • I ditched the deep fryer and now have a tefal air fryer. I wouldn’t change back now.

  • I’m enjoying reading the responses. Thank you.

  • ours is pretty low maintenance and cooks evenly and is really easy to clean – most bits go in the dishwasher. It is a Sunbeam Café Series.

  • Skip the deep fryer and try an air fryer. I’ve had one for a few months it’s fantastic

  • I have a breville deep fryer but we are buying an air fryer. My mother has one best thing ever

  • some helpful advice, will have to check out the airfryers.

  • Sounds great. I have to check out that price of some airfryer’s!

  • I would look at an air fryer if I was to buy one.

  • I’d try and go a air fryer as well. Heaps healthier and just as tasty. Aldi have them on sale on the 24th for one hundred dollars, and I thinks target also have them on sale. You should be able to pick up a bargain in the end of financial year sales somewhere.

  • I saw that the Philips air fryer was reviewed here. Sounds pretty handy and more versatile than a regular deep fryer (healthier too).
