Hello!

I’ve been told to take Iron and vit D supplements for hair loss… and yes, I am seeing a difference. Just curious, is it happening with other mums too…?

  • I think it can be quite common and it happened to a few.of us in mother’s group when bub is about 4 months old.

  • Definitely a common issue. I didn’t notice it with my first baby but have with the second

  • i think that it settles down so there is no need to stress about it

  • I had no idea about this problem at all. Mine happened long before I was on here or in any groups, and I got the shock of my life when I went to get my hair cut for my sons baptism, and I had never seen this particular hairdresser, who pulled my hair back to reveal what looked like a mans “Big M” male pattern baldness, and said “Has your hair always been like this.” Needless to say I nearly fell off my chair.

  • It happened to me after my first but came back fuller in the end ,,, didn’t happen at all with my other two

  • Yes, when you are pregnant your hair will get thicker because it stops falling out (natural hair fall out) so once you have the baby your body goes back to normal so all the “excess” hair will fall out so you will feel like you are going hair but you aren’t lol!!

  • Yes, I lost a lot of hair in the first few months post pregnancy.
