You can try to talk to them but keep in mind that they may not listen. People can get a little excited and over the top and they see it as a gift from them but you see all the gifts from everyone – and that can be a lot. Maybe ask them to be low-key with easter and give them more freedom at bigger events like birthdays. Otherwise perhaps use them up in cooking or donate them to others

Just say we try to keep Easter simple and I’d love it if you only stuck to one Easter egg! Tell them that if they buy more than that you will donate them to other children. If they insist on gift giving also to the point where they won’t listen, give them his bank account details and ask them to put something towards his future

Just come out and say it, explain why. But don’t expect them to listen. Perhaps you could donate the gifts and or chocolate to those less fortunate? Maybe set up a bank account and ask they deposit money instead

Politely like you said. Say you appreciate it but 1 is more than enough, or if they would like to by a small book etc.

I don’t know when easter became like xmas when I was a child the bunny left eggs…..that was it not family and freinds exchanging eggs too definitely should be able to tell people as its just money spent and chocolate that isn’t needed. I sent a group message this year saying we were not exchanging eggs it was fine.
