Gone are the days when boys only played with boy’s toys. Today it’s fine if they play with dolls or wear pink or even dress up in girls clothes when young. There’s nothing wrong at all with it. My little grandson who’s nearly 5yrs old has a Barbie doll and a pink Barbie water bottle but also has his “boys” toys. Nothing wrong with girls playing with boys toys either. Totally fine so don’t worry.

Of course it is ! Nothing wrong with it when your boy likes it. I gave my son dolls for his birthday when he wanted it. BTW he’s 17yrs old now and doesn’t play with dolls anymore, neither does my 12 and 18yr old daughter

I think your son will lead the way and let you know what toys he likes to play with.

I don’t see a problem. I didn’t enjoy playing with dolls at all, I was more of a tom boy.

I had sobs and daughters. They quite often played with each other’s toys. My son used his sisters Barbie camper quite a bit and my daughter loved her brothers remote controlled car. There’s nothing wrong with it, just let kids play, have fun and be kids

Of course it’s ok. It’s sad that we live in a world these days where toys are apparently ‘gender’ specific. Let kids be kids, play with what they like. And hey the boy that plays with dolls or babies is setting the stone to be a good father later in life.

It will just mean that he’s going to be a great dad when he’s bigger! My son plays with his sister’s dolls. He also plays with trucks and dirt so I think they just play with whatever interests them.

lol maybe the older generation may have a whinge (boys are boys etc) but who really cares, it is no big deal! it will mean that your son will be used to girls and therefore treat them better down the track. Good hubby and daddy material 🙂 I find that my son tends to gravitate more to the stereotypical boy toys. You might actually find that the girls would rather play with the boy toys as they tend to be more fun lol.

Of course its OK. He should be able to play with dolls, trucks, whatever motivates his imagination.

I have sons and daughters, so our home always had female and male orientated toys. I didn’t encourage or discourage any of my kids from playing with whatever they wanted to play with. So the boys played with girls and their toys and vice versa.

Of course it is fine for a boy to play with dolls!! No one questions when a girl plays with trucks, so it really shouldn’t be any different =) Besides, it only shows that your son is going to one day grow up and be a good dad!! Don’t let anyone tell you he can’t play with dolls…

I suppose that might be dad’s one day, better start early haha…

Of course it’s ok! Kids have this awesome thing where they don’t feel bound by gender stereotypes- they don’t see toys as “boys” and “girls” unless we teach them so.

I don’t see the problem, it teaches boys how to nurture and role play. Same goes for girls and cars.

If it doesn’t harm them then what is the problem is my philosophy.
