Is it too early for a pregnancy test?

I was wondering when I should consider a pregnancy test, the first day of my last period was 21st January so technically I’m a week late, I’m not usually this late so was wondering if anyone thought it was too soon for a pregnancy test, obviously I have had sex a few times but don’t want to mention it to my partner yet as I don’t want get his hopes up for nothing, we’ve already got a 7 year old son but would both like another child, just don’t want to be too quick to jump lol.

Pregnancy tests can pick up the change in hormones fairly early on.

Its not to early. I found out when I was 4 or 5 weeks pregnant. (made for the what seemed like the longest pregnancy ever ) If you try one of the test with a digital display it can give you how many weeks pregnant you are.

I would test now. I hope you get a positive result.
If you are a smoker or drinker the sooner you know the better.

yeah you can test now! some tests can pick up earlier than a week and they cost a lot more though.

usually with 7 days so I would test! if it comes back negative, but your still unsure, wait another 2 or 3 then try again. Alternatively you can see your GP. Good Luck!!
