I’m not sure if spray on is as effective or not – when I first used one years ago I still had to rub it in so figured I’d just buy the normal sunscreen as much cheaper.

I’ve stuck to sunblock creams because I feel they protect better.

I think its not the lotion itself but the spray bottle that concerns me. I would not use it on a baby because you may accidently spray it in their eyes etc. I have used both and don’t like the sprays because for me it is not convenient and its also messy because you get it on the cap and kids play with them . Stick to tubes in my opinion.

You would think it would be,l like a sunscreen cream better though!

Last time I bought a spray for my son as he was going to the beach with his mates. I thought it was a great idea until he came back with no bottle and said they sprayed each other with it no doubt had a spray fight . Well, its back to creams again isn’t it .

I’ve used it on the kids, they didn’t get burnt. My mum bought it for them. Have to admit, I prefer the rub in creams For some reason, I think it does a better job at protection. Maybe because it’s thicker. Not sure which is better or even if one is better then the other

spray on is great for those squirmy kids lol! they like getting sprayed and it is easy

We use sunscreen but also rashies as they give good protection from the sun.

I found the spray excellent as it’s easier to apply on my two very active kids, however I use a separate cream for their faces. We’ve just been away on holidays and all used the spray on sunscreen and loved it.

We use both (spray and non spray) on our children but rub both of them in.

I prefer cream as it is easy to apply and you can see where it has been applied. It also gives thicker coverage.

As the other Mum said you rubbed it in which defeats the purpose! We tried it and we are sticking to cream you apply. We give the kids a Zinc coating on their faces and wear rash suits.

Technically it should be the same, but I’ve found it just doesn’t give the same coverage as cream. I’ve been using invisible zinc this season and it’s excellent. It’s gentle for sensitive skin, easy to apply, and has great coverage.

You have to be very careful that you’ve used enough, and covered the whole area.

I think spray on sunscreen is much easier to use, particularly if you are doing itself…but I find you still need to rub it in anyway.

we use spray on only so i can ensure I get my back and neck, the kids i happily apply cream but their dad doesn’t like cream on his hands so he always apply’s the spray and i see no difference. as in none of us get burnt.

we did not find it worked well unless you rubbed it in which defeats the purpose!

I have been using the spray on and think it works just as well, and we are fair skinned redheads!!
