Paper and cardboard can compost.

I add lawn cuttings after mowing. Raked leaves. Shredded newspaper. Lime is meant to be essential too. Sometimes add water if it’s looking too dry and you’ve had no rain

most food stuffs but not eggshells or onions. You can add teabags, hair and nail clippings

I boiught a tumbling bin from Bunnings and they are great, I put in all grass clippings, shredded paper and fruit and vegetable peelings, egg shells, anything really organic. Amazing how it reduces your rubbish bin at the end of the week. Great way to help the environment and get the kids involved too.

You can compost almost anything. Paper, hair and nails (yes yuk but it provides nitrogen apparently) dryer lint, vaccuum cleaner dust, pet hair fruit and veg etc. Egg Shells and used tea bags are supposed to be the the best things to add though, you’ll find natures composters, worms will love you for it and get straight to work

Paper towel, dog poo cardboard from toilet paper shredded. Anything that will break down over time. Have fun; it’s a great feeling knowing you have made an effort to help the environment.

Vaccum cleaner dust. Always layer if you put something green in ( food scraps lawn clippings ets) put a layer of.brown on top ( hair, vaccum, dirt, shredded newspaper etc) it’s a carbon/ nitrogen ratio. Also keep the layers thin don’t empty the whole lawn mower clipping in one go. If yours is on the ground start with a layer of sticks and twigs to promote aeration. If it starts to smell use dolomite and give it a good mix.

If you put teabags in make sure you take the staple out of the tag first.
