Forum Low Lying Placenta?

Has anyone else experienced this in their pregnancy? I just had my 20 week scan and have partial placenta previa. My next scan is not till 34 weeks. The doctor has said majority of low lying placentas will move away from cervix but 14 weeks is such a long time to wait, and i’m a notorious worry wart. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this and what was there outcome?

  • This can fix itself? The placenta can move? I thought it attached to womb wall and that was that. I thought if it moved after that, you were in trouble. Learn something new every day. Im sure your Dr kept an eye on you and it worked out fine

  • I had posterior placenta previa. I was due to fly international at 34 weeks but the placenta had to resolve before then. It resolved itself a few weeks before and the obstetrician signed me off to fly. You can’t do anything about it. Worry about things that you can change.
