  • I’ve had mine for approx 9 months and although my body has gotten used to it, my skin is becoming really bad. I’ve booked in to see my GP and thinking about removing it but I dnt know what to replace it with.

  • no but i have heard of people’s mirena coming out so just be wary.

  • After trying just about everything on the market, including the mirena, my last hope was the copper iud, that I’ve had for a couple of months now. I couldn’t tolerate the mirena, but then I’m not a great example, as my body can’t tolerate any form of contraceptives containing hormones.

  • Everyone is different, their body is different, I haven\’t had a IUD but I have had the implanon and it didn\’t work for me, bleed for 3 months straight and in the end had to have it taken out.

  • Got the Mirena put in in March, had bleeding every day until end of June. Have suffered bad stomach pains, bloating, bad skin etc all since. I just had it removed this week. I was hoping that it would be suitable for me given the relief it can give with regards to your period, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

  • I’m about to get mine in a few weeks so interested too
