Hello!

I have 3 children and all 3 were c-sections. Just wanting to hear from other mums what their experience was with their 4th pregnancy & then 4th c-section. Thanks

  • not personally, but my cousin had five – yep true story and all kids and my cousin are well and happy x

  • CHat to your doctor, midwife and as many medical people as possible to get an informed decision and weigh up the pros and cons.

  • Interesting responses, I am interested to follow the suggestions from others. I would take the advice from the medicos.

  • Wow that’s a lot of c-sections! I would definitely be taking to the obs about this one. I’m sure they’d be able to tell you if having a fourth would be risky or not for you.

  • I’ve only had two but told that if I was to have anymore that would be my last as with each section the stomach wall muscles will get weaker no matter what, but I would be very guided by your doctor as they are the ones who know the best.
    Good luck.

  • there are some good comments here

  • ask your doctor they will help :)

  • be guided by your doctor, he will advise you correctly.

  • I know they don’t like too but some people have too, goodluck

  • I have heard of people with 4 kids having c sections. I am about to have my 2nd so although my husband says no more kids Im interested in reading responses

  • I have had two and was told three was the max. Speak to your doctor as I am sure they can do tests to find out whether the risks are high for you or not. Good luck :)

  • I can’t answer as I have only had natural’s but talk with your doctor/mid wife and ask them

  • I’ve had 5 C-sections myself and never had any complications. My doctor did a tubal ligation after the last one because he said any more C-sections could be a great health risk to me and/or baby. I would say the amount of C-sections you have really depends on weather or not you have had complications before. Best to speak to your Doctor and asses the risks etc. Good luck!

  • My doctor only recommend c-sections for 3 child. I think a bit risky c- sections up to 3. Anyway, you can ask you doctor .

  • My MIL had 6 c-sections an she is fine an she will tell u she had no problem at all with them.

  • I would definitlely chat to the doctor about this rather than risk getting wrong info. You would hate to rely on info from a stranger and find out too late they were wrong!

  • Ive heard some doctors recommend having no more kids after 3 c sections
Did you speak to you dr at your post natal appointment with your last child?

  • I would talk to your GP about this, I believe that because the cut is now low and not through our stomachs, then it doesn’t do us any harm at all and it quite ok
