Natural Treatments for Hay Fever Allergies?

Hello!

How & what can I do to avoid my children relying on medications. Have tried several natural remedies, vegetables, etc. Open for your opinions. Suffering since 10 yrs old till now as they’re teenagers. Are there any recommendations for natural alternatives to medications to treat hayfever and allergies?

I recommend to drink ginger and honey water.
just boil one cup of water with some ginger, add one table spoon of honey, when its cool down, drink it, you will surely get positive results.

I used to have terrible hayfever and general allergy type sneezing and reactions until I cut dairy out of my diet… now if I drink milk I sneeze sneeze sneeze. Worth exploring.

My top three tips would be :
Saline up the nose or if it’s summer/warm and if you live not far from the beach …a good swim.
Vaseline smeared around the inside of the nostrils. This is really great when pollen season hits or when you are mowing the lawn or doing a dusty job. Oh heck any time really.
Elderberries..Sambucol is available from supermarkets, priceline and pharmacy’s.

I found taking horseradish and garlic supplements help reduce the amount of runny nose and sneezing.

I have heard pineapple juice helps. Saline nasal rinses. Vaseline just inside the nostrils etc

I know honey has been recommended to my Mum. Nasal washes that are purely saline are a great natural alternative for symptom relief and so is steam.

Also….I consulted with the local pharmacist and they gave me a nasal wash which helped! They also gave other alternatives not requiring meds. I always find it well worth chatting with a pharmacist for free advice on a range of issues.

I’m not sure there really is. I’ve used nasonex, which is a nasal spray, works a well for the nose and little for the eyes

I eat a lot of local honey and I eat ginger. Might be worth looking up the benefits of honey?
