Hello!

What prams would MoMmies out there recommend for every day use – just shopping, light walking & day to day errands? This is very early searching but thought we’d start looking now so that we are fully informed when it comes time to buy. Thanks!

  • We found Steelcraft was great! We used it and passed it along to another family member and its lasted so long, they have now passed it along and it’s still going.

  • I had a Phil & Teds double buggy :)

  • I purchased an I.believe pram off ebay, I was a bit skeptical as it was pretty cheap and came with many extras (at the time their promo was it came with an ergobaby carrier, their promos change regularly) the pram sorta looks like a bugaboo it was $399. When it came I was surprised! It is perfect, steers fantastic, has a decent sized storage basket, seat converts to a bassinet, comes in over 9 beautiful colours (I got pink and also ordered lime green canopy and nappy bag as I love the pram so much when I have the next baby and hopefully will be a boy I can keep the pram, nappy bag comes with pram!!!), folds easy and compact. Can find no faults with the pram! Hope the link works :) check it out http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161033986420

  • i love my beema pram

  • I have the city select mini and love it it’s the best pram I’ve ever had would recommend this time and time again.

  • Thanks all for your help! We’re still in early stages of searching for these items, but all this info helps with it!!!

  • Don’t get a pram with rubber tyres!

  • We have the Steelcraft Agile Plus and find it amazing. I know the Agile 3 is out now which would be better again. The only downside is that it is a 1 baby pram. If you have two babies you need to cart around, then this pram won’t be good. Though many of my friends have the Strider Plus and say it’s great and works well for two bubbies.

  • We’ve used a BeemaQ for 5 years, third kid in it now and when the 5 year old wants to nap in it she still comfortably fits.

  • Baby Jogger City Select. It’s great and converts to a double when you need it to :)

  • i have had a strider, phil & teds & a childcare edge 3. the strider was awesome, just a little wide. the childcare is very stable and light.

  • I love my Strider Plus but it’s quite wide

  • City jogger mini best on the market.

  • I have the Valco spark and a steelcraft but I prefer the Valco. It is easy to manoeuvre, 1 step fold and unfold, can be placed in 3 positions (flat, semi reclined and upright) and the basket can be taken off and turned around.

  • We have the Bugaboo Cameleon which is really easy to steer (even one handed) although probably isn’t that compact. It’s one of the lighter ones of its size that we found and really easy to assemble.

  • I had a mountain buggy and it was fantastic, I used it for both my little ones and it is still going perfectly for a friend that now has it. They are so light and easy to use.

  • I have the mountian buggy swift and love it! It’s only 9kg total in weight and so compact and easy to control on handed.

  • We had the valco rebel q when my daughter was a newborn. When she.hit one I switched to a valco snap 4. Both are great however the snap 4 is so easy to fold unlike the rebel q. But the snap 4 has a small basket that is harder to access

I love a larger pram for a newborn to 1 when you use it more and need to carry more.

  • I have twins and I absolutely love City Select Pram, a bit expensive but I think worth every bit of it. I wish if I had the money for my first born I would of got it then. I recommend to everyone, you can have one or two in it and there are variety of ways that you can seat them. Love it!

  • Baby Jogger all the way!! I purchased the Baby jogger in 2010 for my daughter and it has been the best purchase! It is great for walking, light jogging, trips on public transport (train, bus, ferry) and shopping.

It’s easy to push one handed (whilst shopping and breast feeding), the handle adjusted from my short 165cm to my husband’s 195cm height, SUPER easy to collapse and throw in the car! WASHABLE!!

The only negatives i have with it are the basket it difficult to get to and it is a little wider than some prams – which some shops dont cater for.

We brought a second hand stroller (steelcraft) when went to a family holiday (flights, travel etc) but after pushing that around we were extremely happy with the baby jogger!
