We never had a professional photo shoot done for our family. I had twice a professional photo shoot done for my youngest for free via Down Syndrome Association, since she has Down Syndrome.

Any time is a goid time for photos. They are a snap shot if your life at that exact time, so when you do them isn’t overly important

We had a set of photos taken when each of our kids hit nine months. They’re still baby but their personalities are shining through.

I do them yearly, the photographer will suggest the best times throughout the day for best lighting etc

In the morning after their breakfast sounds good, awake and belly full of food

The only professional photos we had done were the kids school photos. I’ve seen other people who have had them done and they are amazing! I would think a good time to get them done is when a new addition arrives and then maybe every 2 or so years after

first thing after breakfast. everyone is happier then. why not try it with a santa photo?

At a time when you know the children will not be tired and grumpy.
If somebody you know has a really good camera you may actually get better photos than a professional does. At a wedding a friend’s photos were superior to those of the well known professional photographer. Some that were requested as close ups were shocking. Including the only of the children when they were relaxing and amusing themselves. The photgrapher’s photos weren’t good at all.
