Hello!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good bed, not too expensive but with good support for me. I have spinal injuries from a car accident and onset of arthritis, looking for brands or types that others have had success with. Thanks.

  • I don’t trust sales people much so I would check with your family doctor first and see what he thinks first . When we went bed hunting for my daughter’s bed many months ago and the salesman kept telling us to buy the most expensive ( of course ) and we ended up buying a mid range price but with medium-firm support . We never buy soft , but just check first about your back for specialised care .

  • We had a 2nd hand bed for 15 years or more. Didn’t realise how uncomfortable it was and how tough it was on our backs it was until we got a new one. So maybe just a new bed will improve things?

  • I also have back issues and bought a new bed and mattress last month. It is wonderful and has the pillow top, which is filled with latex injected memory foam. It is super comfortable.

  • My husband has back issues. We purchased a Utopia mattress it is fantastic

  • I also love Sealy, although we do have an adjustable electric bed as well, hubby uses it – it’s fantastic for for bad neck and back.

  • All brands are going to tell you that there bed is the best for you. There are now beds that specialists recommend but can get expensive. I am still a fan of the Australian made Sealy or Sleepmaker as the customer service is of higher quality.
