Safe and Sound and Mother’s Choice are two good capsule/ babyseat / booster brands. Those that are a division of Britax have been the best for many years. I know a Police Officer who was sent to an accident in a country area. The car had been rolled over and there wasn’t a straight panel on it. The parents probably died on impact. The Police were about to walk away from the car when one of the spotted the babyseat. The baby was in fact asleep when they discovered her. The Police could smell petrol so they managed to remove the baby still in her seat as they didn’t know whether or not she was injured. They radioed through to their there was a baby and requested it be a Code one (lights and sirens). The baby was taken to hospital for extensive tests. No injuries at all. She stayed in hospital for a day under observation before her Grandparents took her to their home and cared for her. One of them made it known to other Police Officers and all his friends that the Britax one definitely saved the baby’s life. The seat was disposed of as you never re-use a seat that has been in a vehicle when an accident has occurred, even a “mild” one.
Honestly I prefer baby jogger prams over steelcraft ones. Capsule wise I have no comment, we went straight to a 0-4 seat as a capsule was too much hassle and we had a bassinet for the pram. I love my city select pram and it can be a double if needed in the future. Also have a baby jogger city gt and it is so good for small trips and shopping
