  • Lots of different suggestions here. As a sufferer myself, I look forward to seeing if any if them work.

  • an aggravating condition for those that suffer from it, particularly diabetics. Interesting to see what answers others have.

  • I have never really heard of this, maybe you just need a natural muscle relaxant

  • I’ve only heard of restless leg as a sideeffect for antipsychotics……… I don’t think I’m going to be of any help

  • I had this when i was pregnant too. Its a horrible feeling! I have read it has something to do with potassium? If you eat a banana before bed apparently it can help? Maybe try some potassium pills?

  • I’d see a Doctor, hope you find some relief.

  • I also have the same problem for the past few years and I find it easy to put a pillow between your legs while you sleep and I also use elm and pain oil and it really helps.

  • I’ve posted a similar question Janice as whilst not pregnant, I’m 43 have had 3 children who,are adults but am suffering from Restless leg syndrome. Have used sprays oils. Emu oil can help too. It is terrible, I’ll be interested to see comments too :)

  • Hope you have found some relief even if you start in magnesium supplements before seeing a GP. Just be aware that not all magnesium is absorbed equally. Magnesium oxide is quite poorly absorbed. Magnesium aspartate found in Blackmore’s Magmin and other brands is often recommended by Drs for these sorts of conditions. Others types of magnesium are also well absorbed and a combination formula ( a magnesium complex) may be a good solution. Try to find one that’s not really heavy in magnesium oxide though.

  • I would surely see a doctor :-( this doesn’t see,s right.

  • Put a pillow between them from knees to toes helps with circulation and better sleep

  • I have the exact same problem. It is driving me nuts. It started when pregnant and stopped when I had my daughter. She is 6 months now and Its started again badly. I find if you eat a couple of bananas the potassium helps. Also have a really, really good stretch. The reason for restless legs is bad circulation. :-)

  • I agree with the magnesium. My legs were doing that until I started a calcium/magnesium supplement and the restless legs were greatly reduced – enough to not bother me at night at all. Pregnancy can be a real pain, can’t it! ;D

  • I would get this checked with a doctor just to be sure

  • I have the same problem and Dr put me on Baclofin at night and it really helps

  • Mine started with pregnancy number 2 and I still have it as well, looking for something that will work!

  • chat to your doctor or pharmacist as they could recommend something to help you.

  • My husband suffers this really bad drives me nuts. i give him leg and foot massages and it solves the problem for a while, good luck :)

  • Get some Magnesium tablets and eat some bananas ….. this will take a few days …

  • My husband drives me crazy with this he has it mainly with his right leg he’s been to the doctors and done blood tests and he’s very low in magnesium so now has to take tablets they have helped but he does still get the odd night when it still happens but no where near what it used to be like.
