Hello!

My son is 11 months old and on Nan Gold 2 formula. In a month it should change to Nan Gold 3 as per the can but I’ve spoken to a fiend of mine and she said that at 11 months she put her son on full cream milk. I’m not sure when is a good time to start him on proper milk or go to number 3 in the formula. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks

  • I followed the recommendations on the formula can.

  • personally I would wait until 12 months. you can let him try cows milk but not have it replace formula feeds yet

  • Not until they are 1 year old. And they are eating a full diet of food.

  • I’m thinking around the age of two, although it varies for each child

  • I have always started my children swapping over to full cream milk at 12 months start by doing 3/4 formula and topping up with milk then 1/2 formula and topping up until your last can is finished

  • No younger than 12 months, but there are heaps of different toddler formulas available, that have heaps of nutrients. I guess it depends on if your son is a good eater or not too.

  • I went to full cream milk when my daughter turned 2. She didn’t like the older formula.

  • 12 months old.

  • I still have my son 21 months on 1 formula per day. He doesn’t eat very well so I’m just giving it for the extra nutrition. But if he was eating well I would’ve changed him over at 12 months. So much cheaper!

  • If you want to continue him on a formula it may be better for him than cows milk,

  • so u can change him over now.

  • i would wait till 12 monts to try full cream milk

  • there are some good comments here

  • try watering the normal milk down should be fine

  • 12 mo+ is ok to start introduce carton milk :)

  • you could try watering the milk down at first?

  • Glad to hear its going well. Mine were slowly introduced to cows milk from 10+ months and were drinking full cream milk at 12+ months.

  • 12 months and above is when I started on cows milk

  • lovely to see you have it all sorted.

  • Either would be fine, especially if he is healthy and happy.
