I would use anything on his face. Just make sure cuts are always washed properly and no stones or debris left inside the wound and the body will heal it on its own.

To be honest I wouldn’t apply anything.
Just wash and dry your hands thoroughly.

avoid using antiseptic as it may damage the skin and slow healing
pat the area dry with a clean towel and only when it bleeds I would apply a sterile bandage.
When it start to heal the skin may start pulling in which case you could apply a little sudacream, bepanthen or even better aloevera gel !
