Hello!

So unsure on what to do – my upper lip hair is only light. I get paranoid that everyone is looking at it!! Do I remove it? How?

  • If it is concerning you then yes but you have to keep using products to remove it though.

  • You can remove it using small/mini facial wax strips. Very easy to do and the hair doesn’t come back for months.

  • Odds are no one is noticing, people are generally too consumed with their own insecurities. But if it makes you feel more confident try bleaching, see a professional & make it a self-enhancing experience!

  • No ! Once you start removing you light upper lip hair you’ll only stimulate the hair growth there and the hairs will become harder. Light hair over all your body is natural and has it’s function ! Vellus hair provides both thermal insulation and cooling for the body. This insulation regulates body temperature: the vellus hair functions like a wick for sweat. While a skin pore is open, sweat wets a strand of vellus hair.

  • I feel the same, I bought a lip hair battery operated remover, but am worried it has started something that I will have to keep doing

  • Its really is up too you. Do you find its making your confidence lower, if it is then you can wax or if its dark hair then there are hair facial bleaches too instead of using the hair removal method. Good luck.

  • Once hair removal starts it seems to need ongoing maintenance – worth considering if it is something that can be maintained.

  • personal preference. personally i do (most of the time), usually get it done at the same time when i get my eyebrows done. i have dark hair so that doesn’t help. When i wear makeup i find it more obvious so depending on my commitments if i wear makeup or not or if my upper lip can wait another week.

  • It depends on how visible they are, and if you can remove it every time they grow back. If you will feel more confident and relaxed after removing them then go for it.

  • If it’s dark I’d look into IPL or laser hair removal. I just wax my own but I am qualified in the beauty field. I noticed my makeup really stuck to the hairs and looked terrible which is why I wax mine off.

  • Trust me if its light dont do anything!it will become noticeable if you start removing it

  • I think as one gets older if the hair is dark go for it. I haven’t as I have fine blonde hair above my lip and its not too noticeable however I’m a firm believer in doing what’s best for one’s self. having a professional do it is the way to go though.
