just fot one from the woolworths store and it was really quite cheap and has worked perfectly for many years. Has not bells and whistles but does its job.

Stay with Breville, Ronson, Sunbeam or Kambrook. They are all reasonably priced and do work for a long time.
I bought an Aldi brand that was larger than my 3 litre one and it burns everything – seems like the thermostat is useless.

I’ve got a Breville and it works great. Not sure about other brands, but what I love most about my slow cooker is that I can sear meat etc directly on the stove in my insert and then put the insert into slow cooker so you don’t loose any flavour, juices. Love this feature.

We have a sunbeam and love it. There are so many that work well and under $50, just depends on the size you want.

Mine is a Ronson. I’m fairly sure I got it on special somewhere. It’s great. It as a low, high and keep warm function- pretty much all you need I think. Kmart or somewhere like Harris Scarfe are places you could go to get a good price for a reasonable slow cooker.

I was given a “generic” brand one bought from a Discount Store and use it a lot, especially in the cooler months. Mine hasn’t been used for quite as long as yours but is showing no signs of gving up at all.

I agree; K.Mart is an excellent place to buy goods. I have purchased appliances from them and they are reasonably priced and the appliances just keep on going.

I have a slow cooker from kmart it cost under $30 and its fantastic. I Love It. its has 3 settings and a 3 year warranty. definitely no need to spend more than $50
