Hello!

Despite using copious amounts of oils and moisturisers I got stretch marks in my 2nd pregnancy and they have gotten worse post pregnancy. Everyone has a theory for what works to get rid of them? Has anyone had them and managed to get rid of them or do they just fade over time?

  • I believe they will fade to some degree over time.

  • Unless you put some oils on such as Rosehip or any healing oil in the very early stages after labour , ( some oils might be able to be used in pregnancy but check with GP) ,I think it will never go away . I still have some after 20 years and no matter what you put on , the skin is smoother but the marks remain . Wish you luck .

  • Bio Oil is supposed to work. I forget to apply it regularly.

  • Apart from Bio oil, and constant massaging the area, time will help and that’s my experience.

  • I didn’t get stretch marks but I’ve heard that Bio oil is great for stretch marks and scars.

  • Still working on this! However, my main problem is not the superficial small silvery marks on the skin on some parts of the body; its the sagging nature of the skin itself! I have found that cream, applied consistently day after day for some years now has improved things… but not 100% there yet!…..I think creams should help the small silvery marks.

  • yeah mine just faded. i tried to prevent them but oh well, it isn’t too bad or anything.

  • I have heard Bio oil is one of the best things for stretch marks.
