I just bought the Swisspers Storage bags. I think from memory you can get a pack for like $6 or something. Just fill them up and freeze them. Pretty sure they keep for about 3 months. I found this the best way as the storage bags were sterile and one use only. I found ice cube trays to fiddly.

I just freeze in the bottle

It freezes fine for up to 3 months in a normal freezer, 12 months in a deep freezer. Can be a bit watery when thawed, but it found a good shake solved that. Due to 2 major surgeries in her first 24 days I was expressing & filling freezers of everyone I knew until she was able to start feeding at 6 weeks & it was always fine.

In the early stages I used small sterilised baby bottles. If you freeze it for too long it gets icy and goes watery when thawed. We only kepts it frozen for about a month for that reason.
You must date your containers and ensure that you rotate them.

Congratulations on joining the new Mums club. Breastmilk can be stored for up to 48 hours in the fridge, 3 months in the freezer and 12 months in a deep freezer. It’s also good for up to 8 hours at room temperature. Happy feeding and expressing.

Depends how much and what its for, ice cube trays are easier to separate if you don’t need a huge amount, or there are stackable cups that avent made which are perfect
If desperate use a sandwich bag haha

i bought proper storage bags for breast milk which saved space but i found that it was easier to just pump straight into the bottle and froze that. you can store it in the fridge for a little while as well

I pumped at every opportunity in the first few weeks so that I had a healthy supply in the freezer. I used bottles, breast milk freezer bags and more recently I’ve started freezing breast milk in ice cube trays so that I can use them for bubs puréed food as we started her on solids last week.
