Hello!

Hi Mummas! I just recently knew about putting on sunscreen on top of the moisturizer as part of skin prep before applying make-up. What sunscreen are you using please? I am also looking at products that are good for 35yo and over. Thank you!

  • Sand and sky do a great spf.

  • I use the Nivea Protect & Moisturise. Not greasy and great under foundation.

  • I am a bit obsessed with sunscreen and my requirements are that they are 50+ SPF, sit well under make-up, aren’t greasy, and don’t sting my eyes. My favourite chemical sunscreen is Mecca To Save Face, and my favourite physical/mineral based sunscreens are Naked Sundays Collagen Glow Mineral Perfecting and MCoBeauty Mineral Mattifying Sunscreen SPF 50+. I have also heard good things about Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun, Hamilton 50+, and Airyday during my research but have not yet tried them. Hope this helps!

  • I’ve found that sunscreens with a bit of extra hydration work wonders for our skin as we get a bit older. I personally love ones that have at least SPF 50 and a lightweight feel, like La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios range or the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer. Both sit well under makeup without feeling greasy.

If you’re looking for something with added antioxidants or a slight tint, it can give that nice, fresh glow without piling on products. Good on you for taking this step-it’s one of the best things we can do for our skin long-term! ????

  • I use the Nivea range. It absorbs straight into the skin and isn’t sticky

  • I use any sunscreen with UV50 and that last more than 4hrs plus

  • It is always important when any product that goes on skin is purchased to product test the purchased product. I have found with some products an immediate allergic reaction due to sensitive skin. The Cancer Council products work well on my skin and do not cause an allergic reaction. Everyone has different skin and it really is important to look after it.

  • The make up I purchase and then use on my face has a sunscreen already in it and I do not apply any additional sunscreen to my face. When not wearing make up; I always use Cancer Council sunscreen on my face and body and of course wear a hat when out in the sun.

  • I love the Cancer Council range and my current go to is the face day wear serum. It is spf 50+ and has a dewy finish which looks nice under my makeup. It doesn’t have a white cast which is excellent, and I doesn’t irritate my eyes. They now also have an invisible matte fluid formula if that’s the finish you prefer. I haven’t tried it yet but am always a fan of their products.
