  • I bought them for each of my children, they didn’t get much use. I think they’re useful, but don’t seem to be popular these days

  • Regardless of whether you wear one or not you need to wash your air asap after swimming, both chemicals and salt water dry your scalp as well as your hair. You need a good shampoo that immediately gets the chemicals / salt water /sand very quickly and efficiently then use a good conditioner. I know a swimmer who is in a club that regular competes against other clubs. She uses “Pantene” brand as it removes the “foreign substances ” (her words” with one shampoo. She doesn’t need to do it twice – then sues the same brand of conditioner

  • Depends for who and the reason. If it’s for kids and they have lessons then I say yes but if going to the beach or local pool just for some fun then no. And as an adult I never wear one either.

  • No not for me, but I only ever swim in the ocean, maybe you might want to use them in pools to protect your hair.

  • I don’t personally wear them bit my youngest has to at swimming lessons as it lessens the amount of hair in the pool filters or something

  • Depends upon where I am swimming. Hate the tightness of them.

  • Swim caps are compulsory at our swim school. My daughter wears the soft fabric type which keeps her hair out of her face but doesn’t rip her hair out like the rubber type ones

  • I’ve never been able to keep them on (clearly I’m dopey), so I’ve given up.

  • Yes, to keep water out of there ears, stops ear infections, for girls easier as not getting the hair wet.

  • No, unless swimming to race

  • My opinion no. My son hated how tight they were event though they are supposed to be. It would always give him a tension headache.

  • I think so – I always preferred as I have long curly hair and the chlorine in pools doesn’t do it any good. I wouldn’t at the beach

  • Swimming caps are good depending on the swimming type/activity.

  • Ofcourse yes for the safety purpose

  • I prefer not to wear one. My kids don’t wear one either.
