  • My husband is an early riser (and I am so not) – he brings me a cup of tea in bed to get me up earlier. Not sure if you can arrange that…

  • I used to put my alarm on the cupboard on the other side of my bedroom so I had no choice

  • In my case, my husband brings me a cup of tea in bed and gives me ten minutes peace. Much easier to get up early then.

  • I struggle with all things bed related. I gave issues getting to sleep, difficulty staying asleep. Some mornings I’m up at sparrow fart because I’m uncomfortable. Other mornings I could stay in bed all day. Sleep is so tricky to get right

  • I’m not a morning person either, but I find going to bed earlier helps me get out of bed more easily.

  • I’d definitely try going to bed earlier.. it can help even if you have to get up when it is still dark. And maybe look at seeing GP for advice as to whether anything like melatonin can help circadian rhythms

  • Maybe get up and go for a walk. Once you’re out in the fresh air nothing is better and it certainly wakes you up and gives you energy to start the day.

  • Same here, I hate mornings, especially in winter :/. Try going to bed earlier. The more sleep you get before midnight is supposed to be more beneficial

  • Try and make something exciting ready for you when you wake up, but be careful that doesn’t effect you going to sleep lol

  • Have your alarm clock across the room and loud.

  • go to bed earlier? reward yourself? coffee!

  • Do it every day, every day, you will soon get used to it. If you chop and change it will make it difficult for you

  • To go to bed earlier than normal, half an hour or an hour really makes a difference and if need be,set your alarm 3 times.Good Luck!

  • My husband hates mornings, out answer was set the alarm 15 mins early and I get up and make coffee so we have chat time with coffee and then he gets up has saved out morning grump issues

  • try going to bed earlier and see if this helps also

  • I’ve heard of alarm clocks that move around making you get out of bed to turn them off

  • have something like coffee or tea to help you wake up

  • Being the same way, my very best advice especially if I have an early morning appointment is too load up on the fluids before sleeping. The same as when you go for an ultra-sound – it is way too uncomfortable to stay in bed. Also 6 annoying alarms on phone set at 5 min intervals. By no. 5 I’m over it.

  • I had an old style alarm clock which had bells on it – worked every time I needed to get up and once I was ‘trained’ to get up early I changed to a less alarming clock

  • Set your alarm and no matter what, get out of bed straight away without hitting the snooze
