I have seen some bottle teats recently that are new to the market, they mimic the breast better than other bottle teats on the market. I cant remember the brand but a well known one.

try leaving bub with someone while you go out for a couple of hours and see if she’ll take the bottle if you’re not there at all. You can stay close to home so you can get there asap if she becomes too distressed.

I have heard of babies who don’t ever take a bottle, they are happy with breast. I think keep trying different bottles and teats. My sister in law used to work and leave her baby, and never would take a bottle, as soon as she arrived back, she feed him. Good luck.

this can be costly, you will need to experiment and see what is best for bub! avent were one of the more costly but worked a dream for my daughter. good luck

I had the same issue with my baby girl not long ago at that age. She is 6 1/2 months now and has at least 1 bottle a day.. I tired all different bottles, dad feeding her as well as my mum with no luck.

Finally I was recommended the Pigeon slim neck bottle with the perstalitic teat (it is more like the breast nipple). I breast fed her first thing in the morning and after she woke from her first sleep I offered her the bottle for about 10 mins which she refused. I kept her busy until her next sleep which I knew she would not settle for, being hungry. I got her up and she took the bottle and drank the whole lot.

I started using formula because I was sick of wasting expressed milk. Sometimes they get confused with expressed milk from a bottle as well.

Once taking a bottle you should give at least 1 a day and then reintroduce the expressed milk as well.

keep persisting but if she doesn’t try perhaps a sipper cup that she doesn’t have to suck and you can adjust the amount she gets per mouthful

The book I read Secrets of the baby whisperer says to introduce a daily bottle of EBM by 3 weeks or some babies won’t take them. Also gives Dad some bonding time and a break for Mum! Sorry not helpful for this Mum but may help others prevent this problem. Good luck returning to work.

It’s trial and error I’m afraid. Most of us BF mums could do with a bottle exchange for all the ones we tried once with no success! I spent I don’t know how much on bottles and sippy cups.
In the end Avent worked for us, but I had to really experiment with the teats. I found my first liked a faster flow than the teats for his age though he still didn’t have big bottle feeds.

Try a different teat/bottle at same time having someone else feed bub. I had same problem but ut was mainly that he could smell my milk. I also tried a 4 month sippy cup & he seemed to like tgat more than a bottle
