I have some blemishes that won’t go away and the only one that seemed to have a bit of effect was Clinique Even Better Clinical Spot Corrector. Always apply sunscreen before going out into the sun as the sun is the main culprit for a lot of skin problems .

I’m glad I found this as I have the same problem – especially when I’m swimming in the outdoor pool – it seems to make them more pronounced even though I use sunscreen and moisturise. I’m going to try the vitamin E cream.

there are some lightening creams but i saw a doco on this lady that used it (she was asian) and now she has big splotchy white marks everywhere when she is dark olive complexion. I’m sure that they don’t look so bad to others but if you are really self conscious, talk to a beautician or cosmetologist. The right make-up can do wonders and it is less risky.

My mum has this issue and she has gone to a think its an African shop or something like that type of store and purchased whitening cream, you only need a small dab and the results show pretty fast.

Chemist warehouse stocks a product for whitening dark spots. I think its available if you ask at the counter.

Try a whitening cream I also use this.

I think prevention by using sunscreen is the best ‘cure’.. Generally spots lighten over time I think.. (It does for me)

I’ve heard lemon juice or vitamin E is effective, never tried them though.

Depends if you want to shell out money on creams and potions, or you don’t mind trying some home remedies. I’ve tried a couple of the ideas from the following website, and they worked for me. And it didn’t cost a fortune either. Good luck!
