Personally I found it very important to remove dry skin on the heels before every shower, otherwise the dry skin becomes a thick hard layer what easily cracks till bleeding. By removing the hard skin, the layer of skin is thinner and becomes softer and can’t crack as deep. In the night I often put a good layer of vaseline on my feet followed by a cotton sock

I’ve never heard of the Listerine trick. I use good old Sorbolene cream for just about all types of moisturizing including cracked heels.

I haven’t personally but a friend did. She wasn’t convinced. She did say that if you are going to try it, don’t use coloured Listerine!!! 😉
