I had my first child caesarean due to breach. Second child vbac with no problems just a tear. Third child vbac with a tear. Fourth child caesarean by choice. I found the caesarean recovery both times was easier than both vbac recoveries but thats just a personal choice

I had a c section after an induction and labour that failed to progress four years ago. Since then I have had two successful VBACS. The first was 15 months after the c section. Both VBACS were different and weren’t easy or quick experiences but I was thrilled to be able to deliver vaginally. Recovery was remarkably quick afterward even after a tear/cut/stitches and I felt in control throughout the labour which was very empowering too. Both babies were big too – 9lb9 and 10lb 6. My midwife and consultant were very supportive of my hopes to have a VBAC so that helped too. Good luck! Xxx

My first baby was born via emergency Caesar as she was in distress and her heart rate dropped. After speaking to the doctor for my second pregnancy they said there was no reason why I couldn’t have a normal birth this time..I ended up going 10 days over had to be induced, was a terrible labour experience (but I hate pain!) ended up getting a epidural for the pain and an episiotomy (that doesn’t hurt at the time but hurt for weeks after). I tried for a VBAC with my daughter (first was a crash C-Section due to extreme fetal distress and failure to progress). Unfortunately, in my case, it didn’t work out. This was because of my daughter’s special needs and her inability to move down as well as the fact she was very tangled in the cord. I was encouraged through it and felt well supported in my choice. I know of a few other ladies who have been successful and had absolutely fantastic outcomes.
