Hello!

Our washing machine has just died and we are looking for a good one. There are so many good and bad reviews out there, it’s confusing! We have 2 kids and are looking for one to last & last (our previous one only made it 3 years). Can anyone help me with washing machine recommendations?

  • LG front loader LOVE it really love it… yes i love it

  • Hi Sanjipanj,
Great to hear you have good results with the Bosch Maxx, I am looking at getting one now. Its going to be a very busy machine so it has to keep up with me!
    Thanks all

  • I LOVE my LG washing machine. It has lots of cycles and a glass lid door that i love haha. It has a self cleaning cycle which is extra convenient. And it has two lint collectors that clip in and are amazing at collecting all the lint, they are very easy to clean as well. I wish you luck with finding a good washing machine :)

  • Hope you found one that you like.

  • there is so many to chose from. I have a Simpson one and its pretty good

  • I agree that simpsons are great, my mum also had one of them that lasted 14 years.

  • I have had a Simpson for five years and it has been great-never had a problem so far!

  • Bosch – my Mum loves hers!

  • We have an LG Washer/Dryer which is space saving and easy to use. Before work I set up the washing machine to wash and continue to dry towels for example. We have had it about 8 years. :)

  • My husband bought our Fisher & Paykel top loader 15 years ago and it is still going strong despite now catering for a family of 5. When the time comes to replace we will go for another Fisher & Paykel, top loader, only bigger this time! I have used front loaders on holidays and they are so annoying – can’t open once washing has started, leaking etc.

  • Top loaders are the way to go, from my experience front loaders are noisy, leak easily, and jus6t an all round pain!

  • We went Samsung this time now 2.5 years old and still fantastic I like top loaders best personally

  • Our LG top loader lasted 12 years, and I was sad to see it go, its been doing 2 to 3 loads a day for the past 9 years (6kg so just a little small). I have bought a second hand one, front loader, but I’m not sure I like it and am considering buying the part to fix the old one. Front loaders are very good at cleaning, but no cycle size choice, so its full load or nothing.

  • We recently bought a front loader Bosch Classixx which I am more than impressed with. With a 4 star energy rating, 4 & a half stars water rating we find our bills ESP water bill has reduced dramatically. It has many different functions & I am doing far less hand washing these days. It cost us around $700.

  • We have a Samsung bubble wash 10kg and I love it!! had it 2 years now and have never had an issue. Does a full load in 15mins! highly recommend! :)

  • I love our Samsung ! It washes and dries :)

  • LG have fantastic customer service. We bought a new one not long ago and had a (very minor) issue with it. I rang the help line and they told me straight away they would give us a completely new machine

  • Front loader if you want to utilise the space above the washing machine. I use Electrolux

  • front loader all the way. i ahve an LG 7.5kg its awesome. also having the program option to run in off peak saves alot of $

  • I have a fisher & paykel wash smart which is great. My mother and Aunty have the same and have had for years with no problems which is why I brought this one
