  • Great one stop shop for necessities!

Popped into grab a few things I had ran out of. So much choice and so convenient. Prices were reasonable and I found everything I needed at the time. Was an enjoyable experience and a happy environment to be in when rushed for time to grab and go. Will be back soon.

  • Great experience.

Wow! So happy to have this opportunity to check out my local independent IGA store, which I never do as I tend to stick to the bigger supermarkets. Not only did I pick up items that I needed and a few little extras, but the prices are great and the staff were so impressive!!!! Now that I have checked it out I will go back to do my stock up shop. Saves me from going into the big supermarkets.

This time I was so happy to shop at my local iga since they have restocked my favourite brands. I felt that they really took into account my local preferences and they even had a really good designated baby section. The things I needed were also on sale which was a major win!

  • Convenient local

Was so thankful to be picked for this. Shopping at the local IGA was so much less stressful than the big chains I took advantage of there specials we were going to the Movies to watch toy story so all the movie snacks were on special and picked up some other meal needs, fruit and lunch stuff too thank you so much . I was pleasantly surprised with the specials and what I got for the $60. I'll definitely be shopping here more often . The staff were all so great and friendly too.

  • So easy & convenient

So easy & convenient. Popped in to stock up on supplies for the games. Had everything we wanted for the weekend (including a top up of supplies for the newborn). I had a list of what I needed and was lucky to tick it all off - from drinks to recipe essentials to baby needs. Was great!

A side positive of the store is it’s super low stimulating - I had my 4yo and NB and it was such a peaceful shop.

  • Local quality

What an honour to be able to shop at IGA. Such a large amount of local produce and was fresh. I managed to get many items to make some lunch box essentials, plus a dinner for the family. There was a a great variety of items available, and I did notice that there were minimal items out of stock. The staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely be shopping there again.

  • Local and Convenient

Always lovely friendly staff and a decent range of products. It’s not somewhere I go often as it’s a hit and miss with pricing but usually quite worth it for meat.

Pre-made food, hot food and ready to cook meats are super convenient and affordable.

Highly recommend trying one local to you as you never know what deals they have until you go in as sometimes they are just local deals and not at all IGAs’.

  • Calm and refreshing shopping experience

I was over the moon to be selected to take part in IGA pit stop challenge! I was genuinely impressed with our local IGA. The store is so well organised, fully stocked and spotlessly clean. The staff were all really friendly, approachable and happy to help, and honestly, I couldn't fault either the store or the service.

It was such a calm shopping experience too. No long queues, no trolleys blocking the aisles, and no feeling of being rushed like you often get in the bigger supermarkets. It was actually enjoyable to shop!

I only popped in for a few things, but was pleasantly surprised by how much I got for around $60. There were plenty of specials, and the fresh produce and dairy were all really fresh.

It's such a great place for a top-up shop, and I'll definitely be back.

  • I went to Lauderdale Express IGA and honestly it was such a good shop. I grabbed fresh sourdough, strawberries, steak, sausages, chicken, asparagus and a few other bits for dinner. Everything looked really fresh and there was heaps more variety than I expected so I ended up spending more than I usually would.

It was nice being able to get everyday groceries plus some really good quality local products all in the one place. Definitely will be going back again. 😊

  • Easy, convenient and lovely staff

Popped in as needed to buy dinner. Ended up getting everything I needed for a quick, easy meal of ready made lasagne and salad. Staff were lovely and super helpful.

It does cost a little more than some of the other supermarkets but also has some great specials. I’m not a member so couldn’t get some of them.

Also being a small store, it’s easy to get round quickly and not be overwhelmed by shopping there.

  • Love the different products they have

I visited IGA last week to do a top up shop. I really enjoyed finding new Australian owned brands and products. They had great specials on, some even better than half price so definitely got good value for money! The shop was clean and tidy and staff were kind. What more could you ask for!

  • Life saver!

This was an absolute life saver for us! Our local IGA has such great, fresh produce but can be a bit more expensive than the bigger chains so we rarely shop there. With this voucher we planned as a family what our favourite meal was that we haven’t had in a long time due to increased cost of living. We decided on enchiladas with beans and rice which everyone loved. We even had some leftover for strawberries and a ton of icecream, and some snacks for movie night. Thanks for giving us all a big lift when we needed it.

  • Variety of brands without the specialty store prices

I was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of brands and products that I can't usually find at the major supermarkets ever. As a foodie, I love discovering new ingredients and sharing them with my family, helping to broaden even the fussiest of palates while making mealtimes more exciting for everyone.

  • IGA your one quick stop for convenience

The moment I walked into IGA the store showcased so ma y super specials. I was nicely surprised on how much stock they had. I went in for the essentials milk, bread eggs bit came out with my most of my normal shop I do with a supermarket. Prices were comparable and the store was very easy to navigate. Because I’d the large range of produce I bought a lot more than I went in for.

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

JUST bread keeps things simple with a handful of pantry ingredients and no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. It’s the sort of loaf that fits easily into busy family life without asking us to compromise on taste or convenience.

Little Changes, Big Difference

For Bec, finding a loaf of bread her whole family can enjoy is about more than ticking another item off the shopping list.

“It seems like such a little thing to the normal community, but for us this is a massive win.”

Being able to make sandwiches without worrying about ingredients. Packing lunchboxes a little more easily. Bringing back fairy bread for birthdays. Sometimes it’s the little things that make family life feel a whole lot simpler.

And while Bec found JUST bread because she needed another allergy-friendly option, its simple ingredient list is likely to appeal to plenty of other families too. After all, when we can choose everyday foods made with ingredients we recognise, that’s a pretty good place to start.

JUST Bread is made on a line that also processes soy and sesame.

Mouths of Mums is proudly working with JUST. to bring you this article. JUST bread is made with just a handful of pantry ingredients.  JUST. The Good Stuff.

  • I am so glad to hear about this and will definitely be on a look out for this in the supermarket. I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

  • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
