Last year I asked the plumber about one as I buy bottled water for the family and don’t trust our drains to drink tap water. His answer was , I haven’t heard of anything . The only ones he heard of are the ones with the machines which you will find at medical waiting rooms and offices etc . A friend of mine found one for her tap at Parklea Markets , but you have to change it frequently . At the moment we boil our water, let it cool and fill it up in a jug or glass water stand which we purchased at Myer on sale this year . There is not much information I can find on this subject .
Hello,
We have a Durand water filter. Here is the website: http://www.durand.com.au/ There are many different designs to suit your kitchen. In my household we are opposed to fluoride being put into the water by a government who ignored the will of the people here in Queensland. We therefore collect our own tank water, and put it through the filter. The result is clear, pure, delicious water, as nature intended!
Good luck with your decision.
Great question…the water in the suburb we have just moved too tastes terrible. I need one that can remove chlorine and other chemical as you can taste them in the water,
Hi there. My family have recently started using bobble bottles and a bobble jug. It’s basically a water bottle with a filter built into the top which you change every couple of months. Huge difference in the taste of tap water. We use the jug to have on the fridge which is a little hard to fill but works great !!
We have one of those filter tap ones fitted by a plumber (can’t remember the exact name of it but there are a number of different brands), it has two cylinder filters under the sink, hubby is able to change them himself, however in our previous house the guy came around every so many months and changed them.
