Hello!

We have the zoo already down, just after some activities and places to go to and see around Melbourne and Geelong. My daughter will be 8-9 months when we go over. We are taking a holiday over to Melbourne. Any ideas on what to do?

  • I’m off to Melbourne in August and apparently I’m being taken to the aquarium. I’ve googled it and it looks fabulous. I’m a bit excited

  • Fitzroy Gardens are lovely. The National Gallery is also a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours.

  • I’d catch a tram down to st. Kilda and just take a stroll around the shops, cafes and restaurants. Although I must remind you to take enough clothes for the little one as Melbourne gets very very chilly!

  • P.S Luna Park and Acland Street for delicious cakes!

  • Take in a sporting event,a drive down Great Ocean Road,Southbank,Restaurant Tram,Chapel Street for shopping or Collins St also. The Art’s Centre on St.Kilda Road, the Botanical Gardens in South Yarra,Captin Cooks Cottage,Museum.Have fun!

  • The Melbourne Aquarium is really good, and she might enjoy looking at all the different and colourful fish. The Melbourne Big Wheel (can’t remember what it’s official name is!) or the Eureka Skydeck are great for getting fabulous views of Melbourne and surrounds. There are some glorious beaches in the Geelong area which are worth checking out if you are into that? Or there is Puffing Billy train, Yarra Valley wineries, Southbank river cruises – lots to do depending on where you are staying and what your interests are!

  • The botanical gardens is good for a walk and they have a coffee shop there too which is kid friendly.
