It’s impossible to put a time line on when babies will perform certain tasks. But on the average, 7 months is when most kick off. My daughter never crawled and started walking at 10 months
I was told that if they sit up before 6 months they are more likely to learn to crawl earlier.
Some roll over a lot younger than others too by up to 3 weeks earlier than average.
2 little ones I know of (not related or known to each other even now) slid along on their bottoms with one hnad down on the floor, often holding a toy in the other one. Another one slid along on her stomach, then worked her legs like a frog before she learnt to crawl properly.
I’m not sure I really remember but I think it was a little later for my daughter. Maybe more 8, 8 and a half months. But she didn’t like much crawling. She did it just to cross the rooms and then she tried to stand up and walk getting support from the furniture.
Our mothers group are all around 7 months of age. One of the bubs started crawling around 6 months, a few of the others at 7 months are looking very close but not quite, and there are a few that don’t look like they are anywhere near crawling.
One of those things where they all do it at their own pace.
