Hello!

My girls haven’t really been fussy eaters until now and if they can get away with it they prefer not to eat their vegies. Would love to know some ideas to get my children to eat and enjoy their vegies?

  • You can add veggies to so many things ! Add a veggie to a smoothie / ice block, add veggies to your mince / sausages , make your own pasta / pizza sauce with heaps of veggies, add many veggies to your fritters, pancakes etc, add veggies to your brownies and cupcakes, use lentil- and chick pea flour instead of plain flour for any of your baking

  • If you search on pinterest for this, you will come up with a ton of great plating up ideas that look really fun.

  • There are some really great hidden veg recipes in the recipes section on here. Maybe have a flick through and see if any catch your attention. Once your kids eat them you could get them to help you make it and teach them that they already like this dish with the veggies in there.

  • Blending them up sounds good and they are hidden

  • You need to learn to hide them! As grated carrot, zucchini, chopped mushrooms and capsicum added to spaghetti bolognese. Or bubble and squeak, where you boil up a big pot of veggies, mashed them then fry until golden brown. So yummy! Then there’s carrot cake and zucchini cake. Pikelets and muffins with veggies in

  • well a few ways. let them grow a garden or at least herbs. they love to pick them and add to meals. make meals that hide vegies or make it fun by making faces etc. do carrot sticks and dip or celery and peanut butter. get them to help make it. do a rewards chart for eating healthy.
