It looks like Mason Jars. Kmart.Target sells them except they have a red/white straw in the middle. My daughter got excited and bought a couple as they are not dear and I said what is wrong with a drinking mug ?! . It is really a novelty by the looks of it . It is storage for storing liquid and drinking from it .

I think that you use them for drinks indeed, like smoothies. I know that there are some mason jars that you can screw directly into your blender and then you drink directly from it, and carry it with you when you go out.

I’ve only ever seen them used as drinking jars, the holes in the lids are to put the straws in. You couldn’t store much in them 1) because of their small size and 2) because of the hole in the lid

Using jars with straws as drink glasses seems to be the new trend. If you wanted to use them for storage, I would place a piece of durable tape over the hole (both on the outside and inside of the lid) to keep air out. I hope this helps.
