Hello!

I’ve read that exercise can help with the pain of Fibromyalgia so wonder if anyone knows first hand

  • OOOPPS That is water aerobics.

  • Hi mom111059 ,
I have been diagnosed with fibro for quite a number of years now. I quite like swimming, aerobics or even walking in a pool. And if you’re in the water, your joints are not being stressed during exercise. Also, water offers resistance, which helps muscles get stronger.
I also find the one big factor that triggers a flare up is too much sugar …I can not even eat dark chocolate. My chiropractor constantly tells me sugar suppresses the immune system.
Wishing you all the best, as I know at times you feel like crap. Fibromyalgia really is a huge pain.

  • I do not have first hand experience but maybe getting in contact with a support group would be helpful. Social media is particularly good for focus and support groups.

  • I have fibromyalgia also. Anything low impact is great but to be perfectly honest nothing really helps my pain. For me it’s more just trying to keep fit and active for my mental wellbeing

  • I’ve found that yoga helps a lot, as does tai chi. It’s all about trying different ones and finding what works best for you
