Hello!

I’m just about to purchase my pram however I’m in a dilemma about the colour. I really love the purple however, as I don’t know what I’m having, I’m worried this might not suit, if it’s a boy. Should I play it safe with black or go for colour?

  • Personally I think purple is totally fine for a boy too

  • It’s your pram- the baby won’t care what colour it is!! Also it’s 2021- saying a colour is only for a gender is like saying girls can only like odd numbers!

  • The pram I chose was navy blue and I just loved it.

  • I would go with the black pram but go with what you love!

  • I forgot to mention that being practical is more important than colour.
Not too heavy to lift, easy to safely put up and fold down,….. handles not too low or you will stoop while pushing it and weaken your shoulders; possibly put strain on you neck and back – many don’t think about that at all. I found out the hard way. 2nd time round we bought one with longer handles and use the other one in the spare car if we forget the new one.

  • I would choose a colour that will suit either if possible. e.g. navy blue, black, red, brown. Servicable colours that don’t show marks too much are best too. Thorough washing doesn’t always get all marks off. You have to be careful what products you use when cleaning a pram / stroller etc. besides the fact that some substances can be toxic, they can do serious damage to the fabric, maing it deteriorate and loose its strength.

  • I have a blue pram and have a girl.

Colours are for everyone, go with what makes you feel good, baby won’t care about what colour regardless of gender.

  • It’s your choice. Your pushing it. I like trendy colours too

  • Get your purple pram!
Purple is uni-sex & you can dress your baby in what ever colour you want, with a gender colour blanket.
The colour shouldn’t matter but make sure it is a good quality pram & has all the bits & pieces you want & need in a pram.

  • Go with the purple as it would look nice and blankets and clothing can be colour for boy or girl.

  • Go for colour! Bub’s not going to have any idea!

  • Get the purple, if that’s what you like! Bub isn’t going to give a hoot as to what colour it is. It’s like implying that a purple car can’t be driven by or contain male passengers. You don’t see too many purple prams out there, so I would be original and go purple :)

  • For my first child i went for a black pram as it is totally unisex. It has done all three kids all I can say is make sure its good quality and it will do all your future kids as mine has done, but so is purple totally unisex, if you love it get it. For my first kid every thing else had to be blue as he was a boy, then along came a girl so everything else was pink, then with the next childa boy, i gave up i had enough stuff already so evereything other than clothes didnt matter what i had i used.

  • I’d go with the colour you love the most. You can always add a seat liner in gender appropriate colours if you feel it’s necessary down the track. But it doesn’t really matter as long as you like the look of it! Have fun!
