I’ve never had promite and never thought to try it. I’m happy with Vegemite.

Vegemite is definitely the better of the two. Don’t make the mistake of putting it on too thick as it has a very strong flavour.. it’s also great to add to a broth or stew as a gravy flavouring…

I have it on good authority from somebody who worked in US for awhile that their Vegemite isn’t as salty as ours is. My friend took some from here because he didn’t know they had it. He finished the Aussie one and started the US one at the same meal. The people he shared his with reckoned ours was too salty,

Definitely vegemite, I despise promite.

I like both vegemite and promite but if I had to pick it would be vegemite as my most preferred.

I find vegemite is too salty and now they have one with an orange cap with less alt which I like and use on my sandwich and crackers etc. No one in the household likes it so I am the only one that do . I think Promite is American and can taste the added sugar in it so depends if you like it saltier or sweeter to your buds .

Vegemite! I also add to spag bol, and osso bucco for that yummy beefy taste (just a spoonful)

I have always preferred vegemite over promite or marmite.

I’ve always been a promite fan even though I grew up on vegemite. I think I prefer the promite as there’s more sugar in it and it’s texture is a bit more gel like than vegemite.

I used to hate vegemite as my mother used to put them on our sandwiches with no butter and tasted so salty . Now there is a new salt free one with an orange cap which is great and spread it often on toasts and crackers .

I love making toast, butter, then vegemite, then a layer of grated cheese and microwave until the cheese is all melty!

I have always used Vegemite, I loved my Vegemite toast & sandwiches as a child.
Although now as an adult I must admit I do prefer Smooth Peanut Butter
