Hello!

It’s my first pregnancy I am 17 weeks in and my feet are burning up!! Is this normal?? Any ideas on how I could fix this? I have been using ice packs but they are a temporary solution and not appropriate at certain times, for eg – at work! What does hot feet in pregnancy mean?

  • My feet were super hot when I was pregnant as well. I think its pretty normal. You have extra weight and extra blood circulating so your heart is working harder. Also hormones play a role I think… they seem to effect EVERYTHING when you’re pregnant lol

  • Hot feet are common during pregnancy due to a number of factors. The increased weight on the feet causes feet to swell. There are also a number of hormonal changes taking place during pregnancy that can cause an increase in body temperature.

  • Just boosted blood volume and circulation. I got it after a lifetime of cold feet and they never really went back to normal.

  • I would think it means goid circulation. But I would get it checked out just in case

  • Could mean excellent circulation :) You can buy heat packs for shoes and hands etc. maybe you can also get ice packs? Have a look in your local chemist and check it out

  • Definitely get checked for gestational diabetes

  • That’s normal, i had and still have warm feet!

  • I hope someone could shed some light for you.

  • Hope all went well with your pregnancy.

  • I hope all went well and you have a healthy little bubba by now.

  • I hope you found a solution for yourself

  • I hope the rest of your pregnancy went well

  • I think its quiet common, along with swollen feet. Check with your doctor if you’re worried

  • Are u on ur feet too much?

  • Soak your feet—Tired, burning feet should be soaked at the end of a workday. Rotate your ankles to reduce swelling.

  • Hot and burning sensations in the feet are also very common in pregnancy, not only due to a sudden increase in weight and swelling, but because of hormonal changes that cause a slight increase in body temperature. Many pregnant women report that their feet can become hot and irritable as they grow tired even leading to a loss of sleep in extreme cases. It should be mentioned though that there are other more serious conditions that can cause these symptoms so if you have any concerns you may like to have it assessed by your podiatrist to rule out any other potential causes.

  • Its the fluid in your feet making them quite swollen.
Try putting a pillow under your feet at night.
Put the up on a stool and cool foot spas.

  • Weird things happen during pregnancy and I’m guessing this is another one. It’s normal to be hotter during pregnancy.

  • Did the doctor give you an answer? I’m curious lol

  • I have never heard of it happening. I would go to the doc
