A basket of creams and shampoos for baby and for mum.

If its for mum, try some meals, nappy baskets, bath wash set, offer to clean the dishes.
A newborn doesnt need much. Maybe a playmat, rattle, dummy and dummy clips.

Onesies are also a good idea.

Offers of cooked meals or to look after older children for a few hours away from the house. A cleaner for the first few weeks after or even before birth.

I received packets of nappies – I was so appreciative.

So many options! I like to give clothes but things like bibs and toys are appreciated too. Or something for the mum to pamper herself instead?

There are so many to choose from! Sometimes the mum to be will include a list of things still needed when she does invites for a baby shower. I prefer the personal touch so I like to knit a few little garments
