These Black & Gold spirals are an absolute bargain, great for a family bake or a Bolognese short pasta meal.
However, it’s sometimes hard to get them just right, I either end up with “al dente” or “mush” You really have to keep an eye on them! If you’re on a budget and don’t mind staying by the stove, they’re a solid pantry backup and something yummy for your tummy.

I like that it is Australian made and so authentic. It was so affordable and without compromising on the ingredients or quality. The definition of perfect. I will highly recommend this to everyone, or maybe swapping it for your current pasta. It’s my first time trying and I’m highly impressed

This Black and Gold Spirals are fantastic. They go a long way and the 500g is 2 dinners worth with leftovers for lunches the next day.

Its a Pantry staple in my house and goes great with the black and gold garlic bread as well.

The black and gold spirals 500g is on repeat on my shopping list. My kids love it as a pasta with tomato based sauce to the famous tuna pasta salad I made in summer weekly. They only prefer the spirals as they say they stay better in shape compared to the other pasta shspes.

Spirals are a must have in our household for dinner most nights as we frequently enjoy creamy pasta dishes. The kids and I take turns making meals using it and I repurchase almost on a weekly basis with how quickly we run out of our stock at home. Would highly recommend.

I’m very impressed with this spiral pasta. Firstly the price is very impressive at 89c for a pack. The spirals are slightly on the bigger side which I really enjoy, especially when al dente they are soft with a nice chewiness to them. They pair well it’s many different sauces and is really enjoyable to eat. A pantry staple, I will now be replacing my usual pasta with this one.

Pasta is a staple in our household, with three young children and the black and gold spirals provided far more value for money. The kids devoured each meal, and were always keen for more. As a family who eats a lot of pasta it’s nice to find an alternative brand!

When making my tuna pasta bake, I chose to try using as many B&G products as I could. So I bought a few more items myself to add to what the voucher got me. I’m a retired Italian teacher and have a passion for Italian cuisine and am very fussy about pasta, so to use a non-Italian brand name pasta was a real test for B&G!! However, the spirals cooked up perfectly, even using the unorthodox method of putting them in dry and adding milk and water with a recipe base pack. I still got, in pretty quick time too, al dente pasta that held its lovely spiral shape and that I think even a discerning Italian would be hard-pressed to fault! Definitely recommend this great product!!

Pasta is definitely a family-favourite, and our son especially loves spirals! I was very keen to try these Black and Gold spirals and see how they compare to our usual Italian-made brand of pasta. We absolutely loved these spirals! They tasted deliciously al-dente, perfectly as they should, and they cooked as per the packet instructions. At only $1 per 500g bag, this pasta is amazing value for money! I will purchase this pasta again for my family and highly recommend it!

The Black & Gold Spirals were just what the doctor ordered on a cold night. They mopped up the pasta sauce and being a spiral kept the sauce in tact. It made for a cheap family dinner on a budget and I didn’t see anything left on the plate afterwards.

These pasta spirals are so affordable and we eat a lot of pasta and spirals are a favourite pasta. The pasta cooked easily and the texture and form held. This pasta was delicious served with a pasta sauce.

We tried the black and gold spirals as the kids love pasta. I have to say these did not let them down. The taste was great and they were super soft which it’s super kids friendly. They go pretty much with everything. This time we had them with some home made beef tomato sauce. Definitely a win. Value for money and great quality.

I picked up Black and Gold spirals to have for dinner. They boiled up nicely, they are a great size to hold sauce and the kids said they were great. They weren’t overly starchy which is much nicer than some other brands. I’ve used these many times and will continue to buy them. Great product!

I loved the spiral pasta from the Black and Gold range … so much so that I have since gone out and purchased multiple more packets since my first purchase. I found the pasta fantastic for pasta bakes and a total hit with my little one for pasta meals.

The pasta is such great value for money too! Unlike some other ‘value’ brands I know, this pasta did not break apart on cooking. It was good texture, good quality and good taste! I absolutely recommend.

This pasta was cost effective and great for a cheap family meal. The pasta coated well with sauce and it tasted good. It is great that it is 100% Australian durum wheat and is preservative free with no artificial colours or flavouring. Black and Gold are a reliable brand and great for families.

I love mixing up my pasta varieties when i make spaghetti bolognese and came across this large pack of spirals at IGA for a very reasonable price. I’m not going to lie and say i was worried about it being sticky but upon cooking the pasta seperated beautifully, it cooked so well and never fell apart or felt sticky at all. The sauce clung nicely to the pasta! The value for money in this range of pastas is absolutely amazing, i will only purchase black and gold pasta now after trying these sprials.

The Black & Gold spiral pasta is such great value for price and quality. We had it with spaghetti sauce and also made pasta salad with it too. My kids approved they loved the spirals and we have already purchased another 3 packets of them. These spirals are a stable on my house now.

We had spaghetti bolognese and meatballs using this black and gold spiral pasta. Made a cheap easy dinner for a family of 5. Great value for a quick easy dinner that fills the bellies and is enjoyed by all family members. Would buy this pasta again as it is a good buy.

I found this pasta to be good – very cost effective and tasted just as good as more expensive brands. I did just find it needed to be cooked a bit longer than the instructions recommended.

While the price is definitely budget-friendly, I found the texture a little softer than I prefer, even when cooked al dente. It didn’t hold sauces quite as well as other brands I usually buy. Personally, I prefer Barilla or similar options, as they give a firmer bite and a more authentic pasta feel. This one is okay in a pinch, but not my top choice
