Hello!

I am becoming very frustrated with the quality of men’s trunks. I have purchased many different brands for my son and hubby but they ALL to soon become thin and saggy. Son complained to-day about 2 pair of this silver grey ones (bonds) and they are only a couple of months old and I rotate this pile after washing so no pair gets more wear than the others.
They seem to wear at the bum/seat area and just below the waist band first. For the money these companies change for their undies I find it is not value for money. What are your opinions moms and do you recommend a particular brand/trunk. Thank you so much. :-)

  • I was always a team bonds gal for hubbies undies but I find tradie have more life to them. Funky designs too

  • I get my teenage son the tradies trunk ones. He finds them to be quite comfy and so far there’s been no quality issues.

  • A brand called Max only sold at Target stores they last a while

  • Bonds are ever reliable!

  • My partner will only wear Rio – he loves them

  • Aloha are really good and seriously you get like 5 od them fir the price of 2 bonds ones. I used to but hubby bonds but I agree that since being made oversease they gave lost the quality.

  • Like womens , the cheaper brand undies lose the elasticity pretty quickly so I like the waistline to have good elastics around it and normally buys the better ones on sale . Also if you are lucky you can by good ones at the bargains shops too for only $2 but choose wisely . My 16 yo son loves Bonds and Alpha as they are secure . Bonds are great in general .

  • I second the Bonds reply and we also stock up when they’re on sale!

  • My husband & boys love their BONDS which I only buy when on special

  • Thank you so much for all your replies/comments moms:-)
Special thanks to readingwishes and Jabelle, I have checked out the Boody website and I am very impressed and believe it or not a stockist is only a couple of minutes away from us and many more not that far.
    Looking good.

  • 100% cotton (Big-W) boxers have lasted years and years. Have not looked at their trunks but can highly recommend the everyday cotton boxers.

  • I see someone else has also mentioned Boody. check out their website, I think you get 10% off your first order. I got mine through my local health food store and am really happy with them. Organic bamboo, so good for sweaty blokes too!

  • Calvin Klein is what we buy. It is a bit pricey but when it’s on sale, it’s good. It lasts long too and even the color doesn’t fade. =)

  • Mitch Dowd are great and often have specials. My husband and sons find them comfortable and they wash and wear really well. They also have a Facebook page with regular give-aways :)

  • Find Bonds too expensive these days and they no longer last as long as they once did when they were an Australian icon and made right here in Aust. So I have been buying Target Essentials packs of 2 and my hubby is pleased with the fit and feel of them.

  • My partner wears Bonds and they last a life-time!

  • Try Boody – I buy them off NourishedLife.com. They’re made of bamboo, good for you and the environment, great quality and so comfy. Yes, they make be more than what you spend usually, but the quality really shows. Hope you love them as much as I do!

  • I buy Bonds for my daughter and my husband too.

  • My husband wearsBonds and they’re usually pretty good.
