Hello!

My baby has red, dry skin on his cheeks and chin from dribbling. What is the best remedy for dribble rash on my baby’s face?

  • try to keep the area dry and clean and wash the skin folds to stop that from getting rashy

  • Sobelene (also known as Sudocreme) is one of the best products for any rashes. It forms a coating whicxh dribble should run straight off of. Bibs, if used should be soft absorbant 100% cotton towelling, no synthetic. It is also very important to use the right washing liquid to wash all baby clothing including bibs. One good one is Purity Sensitive Laundry Liquid for Top & Front Loaders. It is Australian and Owned. It is plant based. I find you don’t need as much as is on the label either.

  • Paw Paw Cream works a treat, we use it all the time for lots of variety of skin issues like eczema, nappy rash, dribble rash, itchy spots, mozzie bites etc.

  • i found sudocream works well to stop it getting any worse

  • jurlique baby barrier cream is great

  • I find any type of sorbolene cream is really good – at the moment I’m using qv skincare and it works well.

  • my little one has the same thing on her face and neck. when it’s particularly bad we use a light layer sudocream (but any zinc based nappyrash cream would do) followed by a silicon based product (Silic 15 is what we use). If it’s only mild we apply pawpaw cream as a barrier. But I stopped used dribble bibs as despite constant changes I found it made it worse as she would rub against them

  • My youngest has skin that easily gets dry and blotchy and for him, Moo Goo nappy cream worked really well on his horrible dribble rash.

  • Apply Vaseline as soon as he wakes. This will keep his face from getting wet and hopefully stopping the rash
