  • 99% of clothing I buy comes from the op shop. Much better value, and many items still have tags on them. Can get a whole outfit for less than most tops cost.

  • I buy less and less each year. I have so many clothes that are still in good condition so I don’t feel the need to keep buying these days.

  • 100 per week

  • I only purchase “as required” and that is after great consideration and cleaning our my wardrobe & drawers to check if I have a substitute/2nd piece

  • I don’t allocate anything. My wardrobe mostly consists of hand me downs from my daughter. I buy new if someone gives me a gift card for somewhere

  • I’ll usually save up a little and spend $60 at a time , maybe even less , I usually buy online when their is hue sales or free shipping , sometimes even in store do massive sales , it’s really my preferred time to shop , I do the same for the kids I buy when sales come up

  • I buy things at end of season. I also shop a lot at Target and a little at Kmart but I find Kmart doesn’t wash as well.

  • Now that Kmart have really vamped up their clothing, I find I can get more bang for my buck so I usually spend a few hundred for summer and also winter

  • To be honest I don’t really have a budget – i’m 7 month post babe 2 so i’m trying not to waste money on clothes that hopefully wont fit me for long. I do hit up op shops and have been fortunate enough to find some great bargains lately.

  • I buy clothes when l need them and can afford them but would prefer items on sale compared to full price.

  • I also do clothes swapping with other women. It is such a good idea and clothes get a longer life and it is good for the budget.

  • I set it to $0.. and only buy essentials. I suppose I end up spending around $50 per year .. on underwear and socks, a top/pants from the Op-shop and maybe a few new markdowns for other clothing that wears out. I don’t have to look smart for my work around the house and practical clothes that I can find in Op-shops suit well for the things I like to do. I buy discounted sports shoes on the internet, and don’t like to pay more than $60 for a top brand shoe, so that is my luxury and I have to wait until my size comes up! and hope the old pair hasn’t worn out by then!

  • I have a strict budget and I buy items on sale. Any leftover money from one season gets rolled over into the next season and then if I do see something special I have funds for it.

  • I don’t have a strict budget. If I can I tend to watch out for sales on clothing and shoes I will definitely need. I decide whether I actually need it or want it.
I do the same thing with the childrens’ clothes. Even with budget price clothes they usually outgrow. of them, not “wear them out”. Some budget price clothes are better made than the expensively priced. Some the materials are the same pattern but different shops charge a lot more than others. Quality also includes the sewing.
