  • I guess im going to be looking for some Koh

  • Thanks for sharing all your ideas, I really need to clean mine but it’s the one thing I really don’t want to do so I keep putting it off

  • Love norwex oven cleaner. Doesn’t have that toxic, gross / yucky smell.

  • Definitely following this as I can’t seem to find something good that does not smell

  • Thank you for sharing natural remedies here.I really want to try them out.

  • I used Koh and it worked a treat. This is a nice reminder that the oven probably needs cleaning again.

  • First of all, I wipe the oven after every use. For cleaning, I prefer to use bicarb with white vinegar as I don’t like chemicals in my oven

  • Koh is fantastic. I have a chronic injury so I can’t clean for long but I used it on my oven and it was brilliant. It was clean in a third of the time it would normally take and there was no smell. It is so simple you’d think it wouldn’t work but, believe me, it does. Have thrown out all of my other products since buying this product.

  • I use lemon, bi carbon, vinegar and hot water. Plus lots of elbow grease! Much better than toxic chemicals!

  • Oven Power works a treat. A big bag comes in the box and you put the racks in there with the solution and leave it to work it’s magic. The grime basically just falls off!

  • I use Koh for all cleaning and find it really great. Even for ovens. Their cloths and black scrub square are great for inside and burnt on tough bits.
I hate using chemical and harsh cleaners – even more so oven ones.

Also recommend bicarb, vinegar and using half a lemon too for great results.

  • I tried almost everything, and double hate the chemicals used as I do have trouble breathing as it is, let alone with chemicals on my airwaves.
Because of that I do take it apart, door and shelves scrubbed and washed in the laundry sink , while I scrub and the oven walls.
I use Ciff and Koh ( don’t swear by them) and a lot of scrubbing..

  • Aldi has an oven cleaner that does an awesome job.

  • Cleaning the oven is the worst job. I use bicarb soda and vinegar and lots of hot soapy water to scrub the oven with.

  • Sellys oven gel

  • I have given up on Oven cleaners because of the toxic smell now I just use Bi Card Soda and a little vinegar it does the trick

  • Also; I wipe out the oven after each use; it makes such a difference to keeping it clean.

  • Oven cleaners smell really bad and can be extremely toxic. I recommend instead you have a professional oven cleaner come out 1-2 times a year. They’re worth every cent and do a much better job that you can ever do with household cleaners.

  • I never let my oven get bad it is easier to clean when not baked on and I use a lemon cut in half and bicarbonate, your a lot safer using this.

  • Thanks for your answers, time to clean now!
